Project overview
Rescrito, formerly Aithor, is an AI SaaS platform for students, academic writing and educational productivity. The product lets users generate essays, improve text, create documents, humanize content, work with PDFs, analyze images, read documents, chat with AI and use educational tools connected to different LLM models.
The project also includes the Aithor.io and Aithor.ai brands and domains, aimed at the same product ecosystem. It is an international SaaS with real users, recurring payments, usage control and continuous feature evolution.
Context and need
Students and academic users need clear tools to write, rewrite, summarize, cite and work with documents without fragmenting their workflow across many apps. At the same time, an AI SaaS must control model costs, plan limits, response quality and scalability.
The challenge was to build a platform that works for end users and is sustainable for the business: authentication, plans, payments, specialized tools, RAG over documents and the ability to switch or combine LLM providers based on cost and quality.
The problem to solve
The goal was to create an international SaaS capable of offering multiple AI tools in a simple experience, while maintaining control over costs, recurring payments, usage limits, response quality, performance and scalability.
It was also critical that the platform not depend on a single model: it needed to integrate OpenAI, Gemini and other LLMs, manage consumption and deliver real value beyond a generic chat — humanizer, documents, PDFs, images and concrete academic workflows.
The solution Digitup built
Digitup developed a complete platform with a user dashboard, authentication, plan and subscription management, text generation and improvement tools, a humanizer, AI chat, PDF and image reading and analysis, RAG over documents, recurring payments, marketing/email automations and usage control.
The product was built as a real SaaS: from user experience to operations (payments, limits, analytics and evolution). The architecture allows adding tools, adjusting models and scaling without breaking the system core.

AI layer
AI is the core of the product: generation, humanization, chat, document reading and RAG. Each tool is designed with its own prompts, context and rules — not as a single generic endpoint. That enables more predictable quality and better cost control.
The multi-LLM approach lets you choose a provider by task, latency or price. RAG over PDFs and documents connects responses to the user's material, reducing empty answers and improving the product's academic utility.
Architecture and technology
The frontend relies on Angular for a fast, maintainable product experience. Firebase (Auth, Firestore and cloud functions) accelerates authentication, data and serverless operations. Custom APIs orchestrate tools, consumption and business logic.
OpenAI, Gemini and other LLMs power the AI capabilities. Stripe and PayPal handle recurring payments; Mailgun and automations support email marketing. WhatsApp and Telegram are used in specific flows when the product requires them.
